The Doctor

For over 30 years, Dr. Steve Wynn has dedicated himself to the art of orthodontics, and his passion for creating beautiful smiles shows with every happy patient. He studied three years at Brigham Young University. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986 and Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Biology in 1990 from the University of Southern California Dental School. He became partners with Dr. Von Herzen and started his own private practice here in Newport Beach in 1990. As a Newport Beach native, Dr. Wynn is proud to help his hometown community enjoy the wonders of beautiful, happy smiles.

Dr. Wynn’s unparalleled expertise makes him the premier orthodontist in Newport Beach. Dr. Wynn is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, making him a member in the College of Diplomats of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and California Association of Orthodontists. He previously taught at USC Dental School as a member of the USC Orthodontic Alumni Association.

In his free time, Dr. Wynn loves spending time with his wife Janine and four kids. He also takes the opportunity to get the most out of the life he’s made in Newport Beach as he can. When not at the office, he can often be found catching waves at San Onofre (his favorite spot is Church), and playing beach volleyball at Big Corona. Dr. Wynn also loves skiing with his family in Park City, and he regularly competes in the Senior Olympics for volleyball and triathlon. He is an “early riser” and teaches a Bible Study class to high schoolers.
