1Do clear aligners really work?

Although Invisalign doesn’t tighten your teeth with brackets and wires, we promise you’ll be amazed by your Invisalign before and after! Clear aligners don’t just work - they’re often even faster than standard braces treatment. You’ll be able to see your incredible results in just 12 to 18 months. For patients with less severe smile alignment problems, they can be done with their Invisalign treatment in as little as 6 months.

2Which is faster: braces or Invisalign?

While your total treatment time depends on the severity of your case, in most cases, Invisalign is faster than traditional braces. Some patients finish Invisalign months before they would have otherwise with braces.

3What happens if I don't wear my Invisalign for 22 hours a day?

If you don’t remember to wear your Invisalign for the full 22 hours each day, you may find that your current tray no longer fits. There’s no reason to panic. You’ll have to return to a previous tray that fits you and continue your treatment as usual with this delay. You’ll still be able to achieve your alignment goal eventually, but your treatment can be slowed down by weeks or even months.

4Can all retainers be removed?

After straightening your teeth with Invisalign, you’ll need to wear a retainer to ensure your teeth stay perfectly in place. Most retainers are removable, taken out only when eating or cleaning them for the first few months, and then later only worn at night. However, there are some fixed retainers that stay rooted to the back of your mouth and can only be removed by your dentist. These permanent retainers prevent you from losing or forgetting to wear your retainers and guarantee that your teeth will never shift out of alignment.

5How should I clean my clear aligners?

Aligners should be cleaned by using a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented antibacterial soap to clear any saliva, food particles, and bacteria that have been building up on your trays throughout the day. Be sure not to use toothpaste, which can scratch your trays. You should also rinse your trays after every meal with lukewarm or cold water. Never use hot water as this will warp the trays, and they will no longer fit perfectly to your mouth.

6Are clear aligners more expensive than braces?

Over the past few decades, clear aligner technology has become popular and standardized enough that your Invisalign cost is now about the same as typical braces.
